The volume is configured in a JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) configuration, which lets the drive appear on your computer as a single large disk. The drive uses a USB 2.0 connection, which makes the drive virtually compatible with all today's computers and boasts fast transfer rates of up to 480 Mbps. The device houses two SATA hard drives with 7200 rpm speed and up to an 8 MB cache buffer for speedy performance.
